My first Edpuzzle
Hi, this is the link for my first Edpuzzle:
The reason I've chosen this video is because I think my students will get more engaged with this subject if they perceive its usefulness. British culture may sometimes be seen as something disconnected with EFL. So the main objective was to give a glimpse of such culture. The second objective was to motivate these digital natives to approach listening activities form a different angle.
The sequence went as follows:
1. General discussion to test the students knowledge about Britain.
2. Show some examples of Edpuzzle to make them familiar with the app.
3. Give them the class code.
4. Assign the task to be done at home (flipping)
I think the students liked the activity because the percentage of participation was quite high. My next puzzle will include some voice recording too, both on my behalf and theirs.
Hi Francisco Javier,
ReplyDeleteI find your activities very well explained and interesting. So your blog can be useful for other teachers. However, I think it could be better if you choose another format where we can read the whole post at a glance, without needing to click on Read More.
Congratulations for your interesting post!
Good afternoon Francisco Javier.
ReplyDeleteThe task done by you has seemed quite complete. In addition, your reflections on each of the tasks carried out in the course are quite clear. Congratulations!
As an aspect to improve, I could mention that perhaps you could use colours and pictures that would get more the students' attention. Perhaps the blog design is too "serious" for the age of your students.
Greetings.
