Sequence of the activity:

  1. Practise of the time and the vocabulary related to their daily routines.
  2. Explanation of present simple.
  3. Showing of some examples of Pixton comics already made.
  4. Doing together a sample comic on the interactive whiteboard.
  5. Publishing the activity to be done on Classroom (My daily routines - individual activity) and solve doubts.
  6. Co-evaluation in class of all the projects.

Objectives:

  1. To revise the time and the vocabulary of routines.
  2. To learn the present simple.
  3. To make the learning process engaging.
  4. To learn to write creatively
I think my students were very happy to do a writing activity in a creative way, which resulted in more tasks handed in than usual, as I gave them absolute freedom to do the comic the way they liked.

They really enjoyed the process rather than the product as they could interact with their avatar.

  I like the Storyjumper from María del Rocío’s Study Maniac blog. I have thought that I could use it with my 3rd PMAR students after Xmas holidays to revise the tenses they studied in the first term. So the activity proposed consisted of making a fairy tale, as they would find it easier to do since they are familiar with them.
